Privacy policy

How Pinnacle Brand Group handles information on this website. Last updated October 6, 2026.

Short version: this website does not use cookies, and does not run analytics, advertising or session-recording software. It stores two small settings in your own browser — your light or dark preference and a cached copy of the world weather readout — and it makes one request to a weather service to fill in that readout. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us in a project brief or by email.

1 · Who we are

Pinnacle Brand Group Inc. ("Pinnacle Brand Group", "we", "us"), a footwear design, sourcing and brand organization with offices in San Diego, California and New York, New York. This policy covers pinnaclebrandgroup.com. Our brand sites — gordonrush.com and blakemckay.com — are separate and have their own policies.

2 · Information we collect

Information you give us

If you complete the Start a project form or write to us, we receive the identifiers and commercial information you provide: name, business email address, company or brand name, website or social handle, and the details of the footwear program you describe. When you submit it, the form is received and stored by our hosting provider, who acts as our service provider under contract and processes it only on our instructions, and is sent on to us by email. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with anyone else.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard web-server log data — IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser user-agent — for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this data to build profiles or to identify visitors.

Browser storage

No cookies are set. The site writes two items to your browser's own storage, which stay on your device, are never transmitted to us and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings: pbg-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark display, and pbg-wx, a session-only cache of the temperature readings shown in the bar at the top of the page, held for up to one hour so the page does not re-request them. Neither contains personal information. The site works normally if your browser blocks both.

The world clock and weather bar

The bar across the top of every page shows the local date and time in nine cities. Those are calculated inside your browser from your device clock — no request is made and no location of yours is used or requested. The temperature and conditions beside each city come from Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com), an independent weather service, through a single request your browser makes when the page loads. That request carries only the fixed coordinates of those nine cities, which are written into our code and are the same for every visitor; it does not carry your location, your identity, or anything you have typed. As with any request your browser makes, Open-Meteo will see your IP address and browser user-agent, and their own privacy terms apply to that. We receive nothing back from them about you, and we do not use the request for analytics. If the request fails or you block it, the bar simply shows the times and dates without temperatures.

What we do not collect

No analytics, advertising, remarketing, heat-mapping, session-replay or chat scripts. No social media pixels or embeds. No third-party fonts, maps or video players. Apart from the single weather request described above, every asset on this site is served from our own domain. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and this site is not directed to children.

3 · Why we use it

To answer your inquiry, to assess and quote footwear design, development, sourcing and manufacturing work, to perform a contract with you or your company, to keep records of business correspondence, and to operate and secure the website. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4 · Sharing, selling and sharing for advertising

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising — as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

We disclose information only to service providers who act on our instructions and are bound by contract: our email and hosting providers. Where a footwear program requires it, and with your knowledge, we share the relevant technical and commercial details with the factories and material suppliers working on your product. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5 · How long we keep it

Business correspondence and project records are kept for as long as the relationship is active and then for up to seven years, which is the period we need for tax, warranty, intellectual-property and contractual purposes. Server logs are kept for a short operational period by our hosting provider. Inquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted on request.

6 · Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it; to receive a portable copy; to correct it; to delete it; to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither); to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any); and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, and individuals in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area, may have some or all of these rights.

To exercise any of them, email privacy@pinnaclebrandgroup.com or write to us at the address below. We will acknowledge your request and respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need a further 45 days. To protect you, we will verify your identity by matching the details in your request against what we hold — usually by replying to the email address in our records. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you; we may still contact you to confirm. There is no charge, and you do not need an account to make a request.

Our website honors the Global Privacy Control browser signal by default, in the sense that there is nothing here to opt out of: no cookies are set, no tracking takes place, and no data is sold or shared.

7 · Security

We maintain reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we hold, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) across the whole site, access controls on our email and file systems, and vendor selection with security in mind. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law. To report a security issue, write to privacy@pinnaclebrandgroup.com.

8 · Links to other sites and outside services

This site links to gordonrush.com and blakemckay.com. Those sites are operated separately and may use cookies and analytics. Read their policies before using them. The one outside service this site itself contacts is Open-Meteo, described in section 2; it is not a link you click but a request your browser makes for the weather readout, and it is the only one.

9 · Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top and, for material changes, say so on this page. This policy was last reviewed on October 6, 2026.
